Our solenoid is a normally off powered unit. Therefore, it will not heat up or draw power when your ignition or main master kill switch is left on. The solenoid can be triggered in a number of ways: Time, RPM, Push button, etc. All parts are american made and are original ideas of Dixie Racing Products, Inc. We have shifter solenoid kits in the staging lanes that are 20 years old.
